system
This is a small system that we built from found and recycled materials. It is watered by hand and uses no pumps or electricity.
Its original purpose was as a learning tool for us to begin to understand the wonders of an aquaponic ecosystem.
It now provides us with herbs and salad greens and is the home to numerous tilapia fry.
Loose leaf lettuce can be harvested on on ongoing basis
The new large system is built and ready for fish and plants.
We hope that this will provide most of our fresh vegetable and fish needs, as well as some extra for the neighbours.
